color of waters on printout

Hello,

on my printouts with the print-function of BaseCamp, waters are printet in grey color. Unfortunately background is also printed in grey color, so I am not able to identify creeks or lakes.

I did it with the map Garmin Transalpin, Scale 1,5km, Detail "higher" and "highest" (this denominations are translated by me from german menue, perhaps they differ from english menue).

What can I do to get waters printed in blue color?

I'll check this out when I get back into the office on Monday. I know our Garmin Transalpin product uses quite a bit of customized map drawing so that might be why you're seeing issues.

Can you give me an approximate lat/lon or map feature so that I could try printing the same area you are?

For Example in the Area of "Oberstdorf" with lat/lon 47degr 24' 30.58" N / 10 degr 16' 34.29" E, look for Stillach (creek 47degr 24' 15.00" N / 10 degr 15' 50.04" E) or Freibergsee (Lake 47degr 22' 51.60" N / 10 degr 16' 04.48" E)

I'm sorry but I'm unable to reproduce the issue you're seeing. In all of the cases the rivers, streams and lakes are correctly printing blue just as the map appears on screen.

The only advice I could give would be to see if there are updated printer drivers available.

thank you very much for your help. The printouts with grey waters I got on a new HP Printer using the latest driver. A test on an old printer was successful, waters were printet in blue color.

You may wish to contact HP to let them know of the error. The testing I did in the office was with an HP color laser printer so it may be something specific to that model, not an error with their entire line.

Does that printer print anything in blue? Might be an ink issue. Blues are printing fine with my HP printers...
