How do you delete BirdsEye files from sd card via Basecamp?

How do you delete BirdsEye files from the micro SD card in Basecamp? I can add files to it, and I can add AND delete files from the base memory, but the option to delete BE files from the sd card is greyed out.
Anyone? I feel like either I set up something wrong, or that this is a bug, but I'm not clear which. Either way, it obviously doesn't seem right that Basecamp would allow me to add BirdsEye images to the micro sd card, but that I'd have to go through windows explorer to delete them.
Yes this is something that we'll need to fix. The scheme we use for SD card data management doesn't allow for deletes because only a select group of units actually can correctly handle the deletes. BirdsEye should be exempt from this because they work independently of gpx files.
