Hi, we gotta keep your list growing.

I've been using BC for about a month, and prefer it to MS. I use it with an Oregon 450.

Request 1. While in the Library pane the cursor is an arrow, and when i cross to the map it is what was last selected, which for me is usually the Hand. But there is no focus. I must click on the map before it changes focus. I would like the Focus to be automatic in whatever pane I am in.

Request 2. I would like when the Map controls are Off, the left mouse button does not rotate the map.

Ron,

We had something similar to your first request in an earlier version of BaseCamp and it actually performed very poorly. We may be able to revisit it in a future version but we don't have any plans to do so at this time.

For your second request a more generic capability that should accomplish what you want could be something like a toolbar that would let you lock or unlock specific camera controls such as the rotation, panning or tilt on the 3d display. I'll probably just put it in as rough ideas and see what the rest of the team thinks.

I'd like to add my vote for #1 - but not if it severely impacts performance.....
(and I use it with 2D maps only since I control my eTrex Vista HCx by it).
