Hello,

BaseCamp304 reports an error if the rotation of the JPG map inside the KMZ file is greater than 180°.
My Dakota20 can display this KMZ without problems.

This is the first I've heard about an actual returned error from BaseCamp, but in my experience, BaseCamp has never accurately displayed rotated images, while my Dakota 10 has always displayed those KMZs accurately.

Hi,

after changing the 357° rotation to -3° rotation even BaseCamp imported the KMZ file.

It imports it. But does it accurately display it? That might be hard to tell at -3 degrees, but I would bet not.

At this time KML/KMZ with rotation is not supported in BaseCamp.

I'm curious for the device case, was the overlay displayed correctly with respect to the rotation or was it still just drawn North up?

For me with two different KMZs, the display was correct on a Dakota 10.
