Transfering Birdseye images

I have started downloading some Birdseye images to my PC, looks great so far for the small amount I have.

I plan to upgrade my PC in a few months time - how do I transfer the files to my new machine? Or even to my existing laptop? I am hesitant to download any more images, we have capped data over here and would hate to have to do it all over again.

The easiest way is to store the imagery on a unit or card. When you plug it into the new computer, you can drag them onto the computer.

Can you expand on that a little? Once I have the .jnx files on a memory card, if I delete them from Basecamp, can I then drag them back to the program later for use on the computer? Or can the .jnx files only be used on the GPS itself.

Nicely summed up OSTROFF1. I would like to be able to continue using the imagery in Basecamp on my new machine. I understand how to keep a copy of the .jnx files.

Yes, BaseCamp can read the imagery back from a .jnx file. You can drag the imagery from a card into and for use in BaseCamp.

Let's say I re-installed basecamp for a fresh start and I want to see the .jnx files that I have previously downloaded... What folder do you put the .jnx file in?

You use BaseCamp to move them from your memory card to the PC. BaseCamp handles where they go (and it doesn't store them as .jnx files).
