Basecamp/Birdseye and Oregron 400c

Will Basecamp display the BlueChart® g2 coastal charts? Basecamp loads my waypoints and tracks, but no map other than the base map for Basecamp appears.

Also when I try and use the Birdseye demo it acts as if my Oregon 400c is not connected and ask me to connect a compatable unit, so I'm unable to use the Birdseye demo. Do you have to have the GPS registered to use the demo?

My operating system is a fresh install of Windows 7 professional and Basecamp is the only program installed.

Thanks for any help!

Talked to Garmin support and found out my firmware version was to old to support Birdseye. Updated firmware and Birdseye appears to be working ok now.

Support also said that I should be able to veiw the Bluecharts in Basecamp.;)

I'm afraid you were misinformed by support. Marine maps such as the ones programmed onto your Oregon 400c are only supported in BaseCamp's sister application HomePort.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks! and you are right, my blue charts map does not show up in Basecamp.:( All my other maps on my SD card works except for my CustomMaps with the .kmz file extenstion. I understand that some .kmz files
    has issues.

All in all BaseCamp is working good for me now and I will be subscribing to Birdseye, much easier for working with rastor images than CustomMaps due to the size limits put on CustomMaps.

    Thanks agaisn for your response!
