Basecamp and printing

We're continuing to improve our printing abilities a few of your suggestions were already on our list, the ones that weren't I'll add in.

We've come a long way from the MapSource printing that was basically just printing out a screen shot and we hope to get even better with future versions of BaseCamp.

It's useful for instructional work that maps are a known scale and work with compass romers so that's great.

Basecamp seems to be shaping up to be a good tool for planning routes. I'm happier to invest in more Topo products knowing the direction of travel for Basecamp development.

I agree. KMZ display support was particularly useful for me--letting me combine custom and Garmin Topo maps. BaseCamp isn't there yet, but I much like the direction.

I realize this thread is about 3 years old, but I too would like to add to the map printing wish list. When printing a map with the UTM grid lines it would be nice to have the grids locked at say a 1000 metre scale independent of the zoom level. There should also be a way to save defaults on the page setup menu so that one doesn't have to keep going back to deselect options that are not wanted in the print out.
