On the Basecamp map, when I click on a flag, showing a Waypoint; it doesn't show the editing window with the name and the the coordinates of the waypoint. Sometimes it shows right, but sometimes not.Clicking on the waypoint flag in the left column, shows the waypoint on the map. double clicking on the flag in the map, should show a panel with the editable full name, and also the coordinates. Sometimes I just can't get this panel showing.

  • I just tested mine and didn't have any problems but this is the first time I have attempted opening a Waypoint detail panel by double-clicking it on the map.  I have always double-clicked in the list pane.  A know the a "it works for me" response doesn't help you.  I wish I could offer some advise.  I suspect that it won't work at a certain zoomed out level but that is pretty obvious.  All of my tests were double-clicks on a blue flag or other symbol using the Pan tool.  I found that left-click > Open does the same as a double-click so that might work for you as an alternative.

  • It does seem to be hit or miss at times.  A left click on a map waypoint symbol should open one or two balloons.  Sliding the cursor to the waypoint name in either balloon followed by a single left click opens the waypoint properties window consistently for me.  Also a double left click after first selecting the waypoint on the map appears to work as well.
