BaseCamp Will Not Read My SD Card

I have a Garmin 400t and a GB SD card. I have installed some maps on the SD card with Mapsource. The 400t an the SD card works fine in Mapsource. However, BaseCamp will not recognize the SD card. BaseCamp gives a message something like, "Can not send data to drive :P.

Please help.

Please try out the steps I outlined here and let me know if that works out for you.

If you see the userdata.gpx error you can safely ignore it.

I am trying to download a Birdseye map/image to my sd card. When I run BaseCamp, I get a message that it will not recognize my sd card or drive:P.

I guess that BaseCamp is not recognizing the drive:P.

There are other maps on the sd card, or drive:P.

I have noticed that if I remove all the data from the sd card, BaseCamp will recognize the sd card or drive:P.

Any thoughts.

I tried this again. I saw the message, "userdata.gpx error" message. I guess this is what threw me off.

I did not when I had a sd card which had map files on it, the removable data media bar was red.

Sorry about that, I assumed you were having the same map reading issues that others had reported.

I've attached an empty userdata.gpx file to copy to your SD card. This should be placed in the Garmin\GPX subfolder.

Adding that file to the sd card appeared to fix the problem. Thanks.
