Basecamp Geotagging

What parameters does BaseCamp use to Geotag? Exact times, in seconds, minutes, etc. I was using gpicSync and that allowed me to set parameters for exact time or within X number of seconds/minutes. This allowed for camera differences, fewer log points etc.

If I have my Oregon set to log every 5 or 10 seconds, will it find the pictures taken that don't match log times exactly?
I guess I could go play around but was looking to see what the tolerance was.

BaseCamp will interpolate a position between the two track points straddling the picture's time if there isn't an exact time match. The number one difficulty in geotagging pictures is the time zone. Since most cameras don't have the concept of time zone, it will work best to always have your camera on the same time as your computer.
