Basecamp not showing geocache desciption, hints and logs

Sounds like the geocaches are being identified as regular waypoints.

Can you check to see if the gpx file you are importing contains "groundspeak:cache"? If it does it sounds like we have a problem in BaseCamp and I'd appreciate it if you could either post the file in a reply or send it to me in a PM. If those tags are missing I'd suggest getting the gpx file from your original source once again because the cache info has been stripped out for some reason.

I have an older file here at work that works.. at least have of it does. There are two different sets of GC's with different Icons...one works and one doesn't I sent that to my home computer to see if I get the logs etc .. That would narrow it down to the GPX file.

Seem to remember hearing that Geocahing changed something in their Pocket Queries recently..

Loaded the older GPX file from work at home and the decriptions, logs etc do show for the caches that are listed by name and not GC code. So I assumed the problem was with the GPX file ..so created a brand new one and tried it... this time all the caches listed as GC code and one , only one, was by name.. and that one showed all the info.

Hi, I have a similar problem but with my GPS. I have been downloading pocket queries from geocaching.com into base camp and from there into my GPS unit and this has been working really well. However a few days ago I had a tidy up on my unit and reloaded all caches from base camp into the unit. Now when i am looking for a cache if i select the description, logs or hints in the gps the screen is going blank. I can see all of those details in base camp so I dont know if there is a problem with the gps or in the way i am transferring data to it. Any suggestions? Thanks
