How to get BC's Lat/Lon hddd.ddddd to show decimal degrees (DD) and not show DMM eg. Nddd.ddddd Wddd.ddddd?

Garmin BaseCamp v475 shows Lat/Lon hddd.ddddd for position in the GUI - Preferences - Measurement - Postion - Grid. 
 When copy-pasting to OnX or Google Maps the preference is to use ddd.ddddd format with +ve or -ve instead of N, S, E, W letters. 
 How to get BC GUI to show DD format with no compass points or degree symbols (keyboard entry?), just plain text. 
 DD BaseCamp = N40.77745&deg; W111.88819&deg; 
 Standard DD = 40.77745, -111.88819 
 This is the standard DD format used by most modern mapping systems (Google Maps, GIS, etc.).

Garmin BaseCamp supports Standard Decimal Degree ([+/-]ddd.ddddd) with a sign but only on entry, once the data in the application it's not available anymore as BC only supports a hemispherical DD coord. fully. 
 For Lat/Lon, hemispherical coords. are fully supported ([NSEW]ddd.dddd^deg) the signed Lat/Lon is not. Its a one way conversion - on entry only. 
 GPX files contain the SDD with sign but that data format isn't accessible through the GUI anywhere, very odd. 
 Their reference doesn't note this. "Supported" is... well... not quite true.
