How to get BC's Lat/Lon hddd.ddddd to show decimal degrees (DD) and not show DMM eg. Nddd.ddddd Wddd.ddddd?

Garmin BaseCamp v475 shows Lat/Lon hddd.ddddd for position in the GUI - Preferences - Measurement - Postion - Grid.

When copy-pasting to OnX or Google Maps the preference is to use ddd.ddddd format with +ve or -ve instead of N, S, E, W letters.

How to get BC GUI to show DD format with no compass points or degree symbols (keyboard entry?), just plain text.

DD BaseCamp = N40.77745° W111.88819°

Standard DD = 40.77745, -111.88819

This is the standard DD format used by most modern mapping systems (Google Maps, GIS, etc.).

  • Garmin stopped developping BaseCamp a long time ago. The last update was two years ago, and that update (and several before that) were mere bug fixes and getting it to work with newer devices, no new functionality.
So they aren't going to add that specific format what you'd like to have...

  • Wow, an answer from the legend - still use your GMTK and Device Manager - much appreciation for such great utilities.

Oh, ok, wasn't aware that they had stopped actively working on it - makes sense though, not much going on.  It's too bad, it has been a great repository and editing app.
