How can I look at a list item and find it's original save location on my Windows PC?

I often start Basecamp by opening a GPX file, then I might add the track or whatever to a list. Then maybe a year or two later I am wondering where the original file of this list item is located!

It's in a file named AllData.gdb, where all your BaseCamp data is stored. If you mean though the actual original file that you imported to BaseCamp then it's wherever you put it or imported it from, nothing to do with BaseCamp. If you didn't delete it and it was on your PC do a Windows search for *.gpx and see if that finds it if you can't remember where you put it.
