how do I save City Navigator maps to run in Base Camp

I have a RV795 Garmin with City Navigator maps installed. I would like to run the maps in Base Camp without connecting the Garmin RV795. It seems I was able to do this a few years ago when I used a Montana device. I cannot find an option in Garmin Express or BaseCamp to install the files and use the map without the device connected.

    I don't know about the RV795 but this is how it works with a zumoXT and a City Navigator NT map.

    • Make sure Basecamp is closed.
    • Connect the device to the PC.
    • Start Garmin Express.
    • Click on the device once Garmin Express recognizes it (green dot appears).
    • Click on Map Details.
    • Under the City Navigator map click on Options.
    • An 'Install to computer" button should appear at the bottom of the Options screen.
    • Clicking that will start the process of downloading the map and installing it on the computer.  Ir will install like a program and can be uninstalled which you may want to do when you install a newer map (an existing map will not be replaced).  Basecamp will automatically find it.

    Close Garmin Express then start Basecamp.  In its Maps pull-down menu you should see the City Navigator map you just installed.  It should be ticked indicating it is the map currently being used but tick it if it isn't.
