change unit transfer alternative in basecamp

I'm not able to change unit transfer alternative in basecamp. I have a new Garmin GPS 67i - and want to change from my previous Garmin inReach mini 2. I manage to change - but somehow the change is not stored - and the next time I check - the inReach mini2 is back.

I belive that this leads to the error message - saying that waypoints, tracks, routes from GPS to Basecamp are not syncroniced. The device does not support the GPS elements - otherwise BaseCamp must be upgraded.

Any suggestions?

  • What change are you referring to? If your device is connected correctly then BaseCamp will see it. There is no automatic synchronization.

  • I have a GPSMAP 67i and it works fine with BaseCamp. You can ignore the error message. BaseCamp will read both GPX and FIT files from attached devices. Do you mean you can still see data from your inReach Mini when your 67i is the device shown in BaseCamp? Could this be due to having synchronised data via Garmin Explore between the devices?

BTW the 67i does support 4 small data fields - check out the excellent GPSrChive site for the device for how to do it.

  • thanks for your reply. Could you please guide me to where I can find info on GPSrChive on how to add 4 small data fields in the map page on my 67i. I can't find it there - sorry

  • You can find it in GPSMAP 67i > Operation > Dashboards > Small Data Fields

  • As this is no longer a BaseCamp issue I'm closing this thread.
