955 solar basecamp error

When I plug in my device to basecamp I get an error " there was a problem communications with garmin device forerunner 955 solar, please update the software on the device, communication with the device may continue with reduced functionality please contact garmin customer support for assistance" So naturally I call garmin support and they try and tell me that forerunner 955's don't work with basecamp.....which I know isn't true A) because I own two of these watches and one works with basecamp with no problems B) the error itself says that it should be working and that since it isn't you should contact customer support!!!! I have called multiple times and every person I have talked to is absolutely clueless about the products they sell. Atleast they are helpless in actual clear english....but I digress. SO now I am hoping there is someone in the community that can help. I believe the problem is based in a corruption of my timezone map but am not entirely sure since no one can give me a straight answer. So if you can please help cause this is driving me insane!!! I have seen people with other versions of garmin watches with this same problem but no one seems to have a fix for it....
