RV 1095 Basecamp Low Detail

I upgraded from Garmin 885 to RV 1095. After connecting the 1095 to my computer and downloading system and maps my Basecamp shows only major highways, no local or county roads or streets. I have selected Highest detail pulldown, deselected Basic Map Only under View, tried zooming in and out. The Library shows my 1095 properly. What am I missing? I'm sure there must be a simple answer as both Basecamp and my RV 1095 are useless this way.

It sounds like Basecamp is displaying the Global map, which doesn't contain much detail. Click the "Maps" pull down menu to see what other maps are available. I don't know anything about the RV 1095 but my zumo XT allows me to us Garmin Express to install its map to my PC for Basecamp to use, but, when the XT is connected, I can also select the map that is on it. That one makes Basecamp sluggish compared to using one installed on the PC.
