Syncing Garmin Basecamp with External Storage Failing

Hi everyone,

I'm currently facing an issue with Garmin Basecamp on Windows when trying to sync data with an external storage device. Every time I attempt to transfer waypoints and routes to the device, Basecamp either crashes or fails to complete the process. I’ve already tried reformatting the drive, updating drivers, and ensuring Basecamp is on the latest version, but nothing seems to resolve the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this? I wonder if it's a compatibility issue with certain types of external storage or a software limitation. Any guidance or fixes would be greatly appreciated!

    Never heard of that issue. Have you tried exporting the data to your hard drive then copying it to your device?

    Devices do have size limits for the SD cards.  The device manual should contain this information.  A search on "limits size sd cards garmin <insert device type - eg handheld, automotive, etc.>" may provide additional information.  If the card has worked in the past, try doing a factory reset (after saving data on the device).
