Creating a Route Based on a Track - number of points to add to the route

Hi,

When I convert a track to a route, I don't have the option to add additional points to the route. 

As stated in the manual : https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/basecamppc/EN-GB/GUID-AFF8D4EA-97EC-40BB-9651-EA0B7E0F9394.html : 

1. If necessary, select a map product.
2. If necessary, change the activity profile.
3. Select a track.
4. Select File > New > Direct Route from Selected Track.
5. Enter the maximum number of points to add to the route (optional).
6. Select OK.

I remember having this option in a (very) old version of basecamp, but somewhere during the upgrades this is no longer possible.

Any idea how I can enable this? Or what (old) version supported this?
