Slow Map drawing to sreen

Suddenly it seems, the maps are taking a very long time to draw up on the screen from internal database. 4.7.5. Processor, memory issues? Both should be well within spec, SD hard drives. zooming in on an area removes all detail to a blue screen background, with route if there is one selected, then the detail adds back slowly.

If you have a map installed on the PC and ff there is a device connected, could it be that you are using the map on the device and not the one installed on the PC?

No device connected. I updated my video card drivers and that seemed to have helped some. I am set at medium detail but it was bad even at the lowest detail setting. Using map NT 2025.1. How do I find out where my database is located on my PC?

By default it is in \Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\BaseCamp\Database\4.7. Be aware that this path may be hidden by Windows.

IIRC, the file is named AllData.gdb. To check whether the default location is being used go to Edit > Options > General and look in the center of that screen. "Default" will indicate that the default path is being used.

Thank you for that. Default is the selection
