questionable routing

Using basecamp to route trip. For some reason in Front Royal Virginia basecamp routes me off US340 and along side streets for several blocks then back onto US340. I want my route to stay on US340. Dragging and dropping route simple takes me back and forth between the side streets and US340

I don't think that BaseCamp makes a distinction between trucks and RVs. That section of US340 is prohibited to thru-trucks.

I'm not sure why the south traffic turns off onto Prospect. My only guess would be that an overly long semi might have an issue with the turn onto 55 without disrupting traffic.

I would suggest sending the route you your device and see how it gets recalculated.

I changed my activity profile from RV to driving and got the same routing. When driving this trip I have turn off my Garmin in Front Royal to stop all the turn right/left etc. driving directions.

My City Navigator maps from 2021 thru 2025.1 all follow US340 using the default Driving profile in either direction (Bentonville to White Post no device attached to computer).

reset default profile and solved the problem. thanks
