Downloaded Garmin maps.

If I download a purchased Garmin map to my PC how do I transfer the map to a Garmin Drive 2539 with an SD card?

You don't. Most downloaded maps need to be downloaded to a device and cannot then be installed to your PC. BaseCamp needs to then read them from the device. There are ways to then copy them to a removeable drive but that's another topic.

So, is there a way to copy a map from an SD card purchased from Garmin to a removable drive?

I've never done that but have copied files from a device. Try it but note it must be a removeable drive either physical or virtual. See here for further info
