Basecamp lunghezza nome file gpx

You can rename a track etc as you wish, both in BaseCamp and on your device

purtroppo il problema è un po' più articolato e difficile da gestire,
perchè credo ci sia un BUG nel navigatore GPSMAP65s,
provo a spiegarmi con un esempio:


Basecamp quando crea una traccia scrive il nome del file creato sia esternamente, ad esempio

"Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita mi ritrovai.gpx"

che al suo interno, ed esattamente al rigo:

<name>Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita mi ritrovai</name>

Una volta che ho creato questo file (si noti, lunghezza maggiore di 36 caratteri) e lo trasferisco nel GPSMAP 65s,

e più precisamente in "archivio", se provo a visualizzarla, il navigatore si blocca, da prima esce una clessidra e poi lo schermo si spegne. (A volte devo togliere le pile, altrimento non si riaccende neppure con il tasto on/off)

Spero di essere stato sufficientemente chiaro, e spero altresi' che ci possa essere una soluzione.

unfortunately the problem is a little more complex and difficult to manage,
because I think there is a BUG in the GPSMAP65s navigator,
I'll try to explain with an example:

Basecamp when creating a track writes the name of the created file both externally, for example

"In the middle of the journey of our life I found myself.gpx"

that inside it, and exactly on the line:

<name>In the middle of the journey of our life I found myself</name>

Once I create this file (note, longer than 36 characters) and transfer it to the GPSMAP 65s,

and more precisely in "archive", if I try to view it, the navigator freezes, first an hourglass appears and then the screen turns off. (Sometimes I have to remove the batteries, otherwise it won't turn back on even with the on/off button)

I hope I have been clear enough, and I also hope there can be a solution.

It's not a bug, you're exceeding the limit allowed in that field, just reduce the name length.

Non sono d'accordo, mi dispiace.

Se uso un programma della Garmin (Basecamp) per un dispositivo della Garmin (GPSMAP 65S) mi aspetto che il programma mi segnali il problema oppure limiti in automaticoo la lunghezza massima consentita.

Basecamp andrebbe corretto !
