Sorting Routes in Drivesmart 76

BrainTrust,

I have created a number of Routes using the Basecamp program, and in doing so "Indexed" the titles using a prefix code. ie A01 - Route to somewhere, A02 - Route to another location, B01 - Route to elsewhere, and so on, fifteen in total, and it seems to me to be entirely logical that this naming convention would create a natural "sort" on the device. (Drivesmart 76}

However, when I "Send" the routes to the device, the sort is all over the place.

Is there a means to apply a sort, or to re-order them on the device, like you can re-order the apps on the display?

I have tried setting the sort order in Basecamp using all options looking for an impact, this doesn't seem to make any difference.

Hoping there is a solution that I am not aware of.

This is mainly a device issue. I don't have your model but Garmin ordering of both routes and saved places has been a bit random for years, sometimes logical and at other times apparently not. Routes were often ordered in nearest to farthest but now they certainly appear random and I've never figured out how my DS 51 orders them. Maybe somewhere here will have a definitive answer but bear in mind different devices appear to do it differently

With the xumo XT, the routes are sorted based on departure date/time. IDK whether it is the same with your Drivesmart. The departure date sort results in old routes sorted to the top but it comes in handy when doing a multi-day trip that has one route per day configured with appropriate departure dates. By default Basecamp sets the departure date/ time to when the route was last opened unless a specific departure date has been specified.
