Looks like the map data won't allow a left turn at that point. Either it's not possible or it's a map error. Do you know for sure you can legally make that turn?
There is also a waypoint very close to the turn, are you sure it's not on the wrong side of a divided highway?
Thanks for responding. Your comment made me look very closely at the map. I was trying to follow the Blue Ridge Parkway which is pretty hard to follow on Basecamp. My route had accidentally left the BRP and that is the problem. I appreciate your help.
