Routes not connecting to actual roads....

Any help would be appreciated. When following the Online Tutorial for adding Routes, although waypoints are being entered, Basecamp refuses to follow an actual road, and instead shows a direct (as the crow flies) type route. Is there a degree that's needed to run this application??? Honestly, it never really works as the instruction state it will.

Any help is appreciated!

To add...i'm using a Motorcycling profile, not Direct.

What map are you using? Do you have a Garmin device?

Thanks for the reply. I have the BMW Navigator VI.

*I have not attached the Device to my computer while mapping. Is that why my map may not be 'routable'?

Yes.

BaseCamp doesn't come with routable/detailed maps. What you are seeing is the "basemap", which is used to give some context for when there's no detailed map.

BaseCamp can use the maps installed on the device (but you have to plug it in).
