Imported older GPX List files from HD show List Titles in my WP Categories that in turn show up in saved WPs on my device?

Why since I've done Software (SW) updates now when I import older GPX List files from my Hard drive (HD) I get List Titles in my Waypoint Categories that in turn show up in a list form in saved Waypoints (WP) on my device?     This problem seemed to surface after doing SW updates to the Device, Maps installed and Basecamp (BC),    If I create a new List/Route from scratch there's no problem and works perfectly, it is only my older saved GPX list files on my Hard Drive (HD) that I experience the problem.   Depending on how many Lists those WPs were shared with you get that many extra WPs lists on the device.   To resolve this you can delete any titles that are in the Categories Tab for each WP before you load it from BC to the Device.   This is too tedious and time consuming,  Is there any way to prevent this from happening that BC stops adding Titles in my WP Categories?  .  Or Is this a SW update problem, do I need to go back to an older version since my Garmin 2595 is so old?  If so which SW is causing my trouble, the Device, Maps Installed or BC SW?

Actually all related List Titles belong only in the "Reference" tab Not in the Categories Tab for the WPs

    If a waypoint has a category associated with it then it will show in a category in the Saved places list. The only way to correct that is to remove any categories from the waypoint. I'm not sure as I'm not at home right now but I believe you can block select waypoints in BaseCamp, right click, select Edit (maybe Open) and delete categories in all the selected waypoints in one go.

    So somehow List Titles are being added to the Categories in Waypoints, I need to keep track of this and find out how?   If you make new routes from scratch with the SW updates it is Not a problem, The problem is with old saved GPX Lists saved to my HD.   But the best way to clear the WP Category tabs is to import the GPX Lists into BC (Do Not connect a device) and Use the "My collection" BC library Folder then click on View and select "Swap Map and Data Views" then click on the Show Waypoints Icon and look in the Categories Column all the way to the right, if you find any thing in that column in any of the WPs, select all of similar Categories, Right Click and select Open, Click on the Categories Tab and click on the "X" to remove all contents, categories should be empty or show <unshared>

    Again, I'd like to know how this happened in the first place and how to prevent it from ever happening again?  It was pain-staking but  I was able to clear all WP Categories and now it seems to be functioning like it use to, Just like i normally do I duplicated some routes modified the duplicate, renamed it, Exported the list to my HD, deleted it from BC, then Imported it back to BC, then loaded it to my device, ejected the device, checked the device looks perfect,  then went back into BC and check all WP Categories and they were all clear, so All I can think of is one of the SW updates done to either the device, installed maps or BC will corrupt the WPs in the categories of older GPX files when I bring them into BC from my HD, anyway I will keep an eye on this and update should i find how this got corrupted but thanks for all your help, I would suggest to leave this thread open for awhile so I can continue to observe for failure and update here if i find the source of the trouble, thanks again

    I doubt if anyone can tell you how it happened, I've never heard of this being raised before.
