"Unknown error opening import file" messaged every time I try import a GPX file into Basecamp?

I am trying to import a selection of GPX files into Basecamp which I am hoping will come through as Waypoints.

I created these GPX files by first converting them from Shapefiles using an online converter.

They will show up on my Garmin device but won't appear or permit to be imported into Basecamp.

Please help!

You could try converting your GPX track by reading it into GPS Visualizer and converting to another GPX:

This often works to remove the extensions that stop BC opening it.

How do they show up on your device? If they appear there as waypoints then import them from your device.
