City navigator Europe NTU 2024.10

I recently purchased the online version of city navigator europe NTU 2024.10 and downloaded it to a SD card in my Montana 600, after the download the maps are in to parts all north and all south open in basecamp and plotted a route across France Belgium and Holland first part of the route up to the Belgian border were fine the second is were I discovered two problem 1 the two maps don't line up and because of that all i am getting is a straight line between towns in France and Belgium and I have to switch between both maps to get better detail. Anyone come across this and if so how do I sort it planning a trip to the following places in July France Belgium Holland Germany Austria Italy and back through France so need to plan the routes pretty soon.

I'm new to BC, although I watched a ton of tutorials on YouTube. I use it on a Windows 11 laptop.

I have a similar problem. I also use city navigator europe NTU 2024.1 (see scvreenshots; maybe the trailing '0' is cut by BC). BC installed 2 maps. There are different levels of detail for Germany and France in those maps which makes routing through both countries impossible. I found an info that on the Zumo XT 2 maps were installed (because the Europe map is too "big"; 4GB limit?). Anybody can shed some light on this?

On devices maps are installed in 2 parts as the full map breaks the FAT32 limit. For BaseCamp use Express and install the map to your PC, that is installed as one map.

Note BC doesn't 'install' maps, it simply indexes them for first use and your device needs to be connected so BaseCamp can display the maps.

I tried using express to download to pc but it will only allow me to install maps to a sd card I assume I am doing something wrong?

You've purchased a map, that cannot be installed on your PC by Express I'm afraid

An alternative approach would be to download routable OpenStreetMap mapping and use it for your route planning. Freizeitkarte have a what they call “Plus” maps for Garmin devices which extend some 40km across national boundaries to help with this issue: https://www.freizeitkarte-osm.de/garmin/en/plus-countries.html
