Basecamp City Navegator...

 Until march I was able to use basecamp to make my own routes, However now all the roads seem to have disappeared from the City Navegator, I can pick other maps and in topography I can see them, But I lost the option to be able to use the City Navegator In basecamp.

  • Need more information here.  Are you trying to use the CN map from your device or one you've installed to your PC using Express? Do you see the map in the map list in BaseCamp?

    If the map isn't showing then use Express to install the map to your PC, potentially something has altered that map in some way.

  • I was trying to use the CN Map from the device, which I have done countless times in the past without any issue.

     Suddenly them just stop working for Basecamp, I could use them on the device for navigation purposes without any problem, but on basecamp they just stopped working. Tried to reinstalled them on the device, but issue persists...
     
    I did install the Map on the Desktop PC which allowed me to use the map on basecamp and plan the pretended route and track, however still cant do that with Notebook, since I dont pretend to install the map there...
     So it´s still an issue, however that I found a way to go around when on desktop... 
     Note that: TopoActive Map works fine just the CN from device is not working.
  • That's weird. Not seen anyone report that before so can't imagine what is happening. You could try running JaVaWa Device Manager program to check to see that the map should be visible in BaseCamp. The CN map should be but maybe the flag has been reset

  • It sounds like BaseCamp and the CN map are working fine on your desktop PC where the map is installed on the PC, but it is not working when running BaseCamp on your Notebook with the device connected and trying to use the map from the device.  

    Does BaseCamp see the device?  If so, confirm that the CN map is selected in the BaseCamp "Maps" pulldown menu.

    Also, please explain what you mean by "CN from device is not working".

  • Thanks for your time and replies, sorry for not being able to explain myself better.

     What I was trying to say when CN Map not working I was trying to say, that using basecamp with the CN Map selected from the device, (with device properly linked to pc and maps and user date being acessable and readable in the Basecamp) the CN Map has no roads.

    Like basecamp doesnt read the info of the CN Map... However if I go to Basecamp Maps pulldown menu and select the ActiveTopo everything is fine... the only one that Basecamp does not read is CN MAP, even thow he doesnt show any error and the map is available like the a normal map, just does not have the info of roads and POI... 

    And the problem is not with notebook, since the problem was the same with desktop, however after I went to Garmin Express and installed the Map in the Desktop I had the full info of the CN Map available.

     What it seems to me is that for some reason, the Basecamp cant read the CN MAP from the device....

  • Have you run the Device Manager program I suggested? If not do so and see if the CN map is marked as Show in BaseCamp. Not all maps are by default although I've never known a CN map not to be, but it'll be worth checking.

  • I had not used the map on the device (mine is the zumo XT) since upgrading BaseCamp so I just tested it and it worked fine so that rules out a problem with the BaseCamp update.  I don't have any other suggestions.
