Here me out please, I bought a 12 year old truck that has a special mount drawer on the dashboard that has a Nuvi 750. The car was imported USA to Canada. So the maps had old data and home address. Excitedly I performed a master reset and everything was gone. I started getting acquiring satellite with a "?" On the anchor.
No one in this day and age knows what is wrong with it and everyone from customer service is telling me to buy a new device which I don't actually need. But since this one came with the truck and it has that retro feeling, I would like to restore it and have it function.
My question is do I have to subscribe for a one time payment and get the maps update so it catches satellite? Is it worthless to do that. Is there a way to get it catch satellite signals without having to buy a one to subscription?
I also added opensea maps and that didn't do the trick. One reason why I don't want to buy another device is because it wouldn't sit in that drawer mount thing on the dashboard.
