Why does my Garmin Zumo not fully recognize the second waypoint in my route?

Hi All,

This is a follow up to my original question regarding "Allowable Distance" between waypoints. I could really use some help but I didn't want to confuse anyone on the forum with my issue.

As I said I would do, I created a very simple route consisting of 5 physical addressed Waypoints (all set to alert) in my neighborhood. When I start navigating the route, Zumo directs me to the first (starting waypoint) as expected. Once I've reached that waypoint it then instructs me to proceed to the second waypoint, also as expected. It is at this point that Zumo is not recognizing that I have in fact arrived there and it wants me to turn around. WHY????

It was suggested that I set all intermediate waypoints to "Do Not Alert" (shaping points) but this is not an option because the intent of my routes are to identify School Bus stops. If you're asking why, the answer is that nearly all routes are on very rural, country roads. Some stops are residential which are difficult to identify because they are poorly marked or may be difficult to see in the dark. Others are at intersections which are somewhat better. I really need to be audibly alerted to all stops.

Lastly, why does Zumo ask me to "Select The Next Destination" when starting a route?

Thanks for any replies,

 Mike
