Basecamp, Zumo XT and waypoint management

Hello, everyone.
I recently got a Zumo XT. This is my 5th motorbike Garmin and for the first time I am having problems managing my collection of waypoints?
Unfortunately loaded into the Zumo they all have the same symbol and are not sorted into categories.
Has anyone managed this situation? In addition to the symbol problem I would like to understand how to convert from categories to collections.
I think it makes managing waypoints between the XT and Basecamp complicated anyway.

If you've used older devices in the past then unfortunately modern devices won't accept waypoint symbols from BaseCamp.

As for categories, you will now have to set them in the Categories tab in waypoint properties in BaseCamp. You can multi select waypoints and change them all at the same time should you wish to.
