Is there any way to export a trip planned in Basecamp to another computer with Basecamp

I want to move a trip planned and created in Basecamp on my Desktop PC to the Basecamp copy on my laptop PC and have the plan show up on the laptop as a trip plan (so that I can take it with me when I go). So far, the only thing I can do is export the .gpx (and some other formats) file but the day-to-day detail of the trip plan is lost.

You could try creating a backup of the Basecamp database containing the trip plan on your desktop PC and copy it to a USB drive. Then create a new database in BaseCamp on your laptop, open it and restore the desktop backup file to it from the USB drive.
