I have been using an Eurex 35 touch for a year or so for leisure walking.
One thing that I've never been able to get consistently working is directional tones (beep to turn left, right, off course etc)... it has worked in some cases, but in most the device is silent. Tones are definitely switched on. Routes are generally created in Basecamp as 'Hiking'.
Garmin support has been pretty woeful on this - hoping someone here can help me through this.
