The previous image included a waypoint between Lourdes and Bagneres de Luchon. It is removed but wasn't the problem. New image attached to confirm that the refusal to allow use of Tourmalet route remains.
I have used Basecamp for many years to calculate road trips and camper van tours in the US and Europe. Mostly it's good and occasionally I need to use multiple way points to force a route. This time I have a freakish specific problem with one road in the French Pyrenees.
Basecamp absolutely refuses to allow me drive the marked road from Cauterets across the Col de Tourmalet to Bagneres de Luchon. It turns me round at every waymark I set on the Tourmalet route, sends me back on myself from either end of the pass and instead it will only allow a route that goes via Lourdes.
Basecamp doesn't have a problem with other mountain passes (eg Col d'Aspin nearby) but won't let me plan a route over the Tourmalet.
Specific I know, but very frustrating not to be able to plan a route across the most famous Tour de France mountain climb.
