I was trying to create a walking route in Basecamp, part of which would be along railroad tracks. A search of this forum found one hit from over 10 years ago indicating that it isn't possible but I thought it worth asking again to try to understand what is going on. Basecamp has the profiles of Hiking, Mountaineering, and Walking so I am surprised that the route is created on roads regardless of the profile selected. The route will go to waypoints on the tracks but only from the closest road. Even when the Direct profile is selected for the waypoints along the track, the route is created on the roads. How are the walking profiles used? I am using a CN NA NT map. Is that the problem?
