Printed directions incorrect

I have another weird issue. I created a route in Basecamp. When I attempt to print the directions, a portion of it is totally incorrect. In fact, one road is completely missing from the list. This is true when I import the GPX file on two separate installations. I'm using Basecamp 4.7.4 with 2023.1 maps

Oddly enough, when I import the GPX file into Tyre (an alternate mapping program) it displays correctly and the printed directions are also correct.

I don't understand how this could be??

Thanks for your reply. I understand the differences in routing options however I fail to see why this might affect the turn-by-turn printout. The printout of directions should be a 100% accurate representation of the route within Basecamp. Please note, I am talking about a route solely created and & viewed within Basecamp, and not a route imported to a device.

How are you creating your route? One thing that comes to mind is adding shaping points and then moving a point to a different position. BaseCamp will assign a name to the shaping point when it is created, but it does not change the name if it is moved to a different location.

Yes, you are correct. Nonetheless, the turn-by-turn directions should still be accurate. Example - turn left on XX Street, turn right on YY Street

Is it incorret under the Route Directions in the Route Propeties? Besides missing directions, are the errors in location names (street xx), instruction (turn left) or both?

If you have an older map installed, does the problem still exist when you recalculate the route with older map?

It is correct under "Properties" (all shaping points appear in the correct locations) but incorrect in "Route Directions". The error is not with the street names but a number of turns are completely missing.

Looking further, I have a few routes that pass through a common intersection that seems to be the main culprit. If that turn is missed, then a few others are also missed.

I am using "City Navigator North America NT 2023.1". The same error occurs when I use the older map "City Navigator North America NT 2022.2"

If you're willing to post a gpx of a bad route or partial route along with the name of the faulty intersection, I can take a look at in version 4.6.2. Otherwise, there's not much more I can do to help. It's time to contact Garmin Support and inform them of your issue.

It doesn't look like there is a way to upload a gpx file, so you would have to export the route, open it with notepad, copy and paste it in a reply.

thanks for your reply BTLAAKE. I created another small test route through the same intersection and it was OK. Don't know why the others were weird. I'm going to chalk this up to a Basecamp anomaly and move on. Thanks for your comments and time
