Basecamp Windows is not seeing the maps from a Garmin 50LMT

I have just purchased a 50LMT for routing purposes. If I connect it to a laptop I can see the following maps:

If I connect to my PC I can only see the maps for Middle East and N Africa. I have uninstalled and reinstalled basecamp and still the same. How do I see the Europe maps?

Looking at your screenshot your laptop is reading the maps from your 50LMT, but your ME map is installed to your laptop. Did the Drive initially come with the ME maps and you've added the EU ones? If so how did you add them? How did you install the ME maps to your Laptop and PC? When connected to your PC does the Drive show up in BaseCamp as connected?

The Drive came with 2 x European maps (north & south) and the Middle East and N Africa map, we haven't added any. What is an ME map? When the sat nav is connected to the PC, Basecamp can see all 3 maps on the left hand side under internal storage but on the 'Maps' tab on the top of Basecamp it only picks up the Middle East map. If you click off the internal storage to create a new route, it defaults to the Global map.

Ah ok, in that case you have a Travel Edition. ME is shorthand for the Middle East map. Unfortunately the Travel Edition is a weird beast and exhibits strange behaviour in numerous areas. Try using the search feature here entering Travel Edition and you should find numerous posts, whether they will help I can't say.
