Hi, new here;
As per title I wish to import the Europe Map on my Garmin into Basecamp on my PC so that it is always there.
This is so I can draw routes, instead of having to always plug the device in, a long and annoying process which doesn't always work. at the moment I have waypoints for some routes from a web download, but I need to join these up using the routes tool to make a route I can follow instead of the garmin doing a straight line from waypoint to waypoint, no good on a mountain!
Each time I unplug the device the map disappears.
I looked this up and saw that its best to use Garmin Express; a helpful YouTube video said to use " map options" to import maps but on my Garmin Express no such option exists.
I tried dragging the map from the Garmin device drive into Basecamp but as soon as I unplug, the map is no longer there. So all I have is the basic background map with no detail. Ideas anyone?
