Basecamp 2D

Why do I have two versions of Basecamp on my Windows computer. One is Basecamp. The other is Basecamp 2D. I see lots of posts here about relative speed. But is the purpose of having two Basecamps?

Presumably because you've added them? It wouldn't be normal so its something you've done

Are you sure? I've installed basecamp on two or three Windows computers. I believe I've always gotten two programs in the installation.

I never have. You can switch between 2D and 3D view within BaseCamp itself but they aren't separate programs.

Incidentally just realised you posted in the Mac section so going to move this to the Windows section.

Ah, so you're talking about shortcuts, not 2 programs. It does help if you describe things accurately.

You can just leave them there or if really fussed just delete whichever one you don't want as deleting shortcuts doesn't affect the program its linked to.
