Do you have the downloaded map selected or do you have the Global Map? If you have Global Map you don't see the Food & Drink category or, at least, I don't. Basecamp always seems to select the Global Map whenever I update maps.
If this doesn't fix it try this. Shut down Basecamp. Navigate to C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\Local\Garmin\BaseCamp. Note the folder ProductDataCache. Rename ProductDataCache to ProductDataCacheOLD. Restart Basecamp and see if the Food & Drink category is back.
