Like Eyelet99 I've used BaseCamp since it was first published and have no issues with it. I use it for route planning etc on all my handheld and automotive devices.

What exactly is the problem you have, folks here should be able to help you overcome the issues you're having but your first action should be to read the great tutorial linked to above.
