Missing roads

I'm finding roads and tracks that are not basecamp, why? It's pretty frustrating while trying to plan a trip.

Because BaseCamp can only show what's on the map you have chosen, which map is it?

G'day Mate,

Global. The Zumo 595lm came with Australian and New Zealand maps. Cheap programs can find the roads and tracks.

If you're using the global map supplied with BaseCamp that has very little detail. Plug in your Zumo and BaseCamp will read the map from there, or use Express to add the map to your PC. Either way BaseCamp will then show all the roads etc that you see on your Zumo.

From the start I have been plugging in the gps into my laptop. Both the gps and base amp connected together or not, still don't some roads and tracks. I'm thinking about throwing out my zumo 595lm and use 1 of the cheap apps with my mobile phone that show me all off the roads and tracks, online or off-line.

If your device doesn't show them then BaseCamp cannot. That isn't a BaseCamp issue. No map shows all roads or tracks possible. If you find a map that does you'll make a fortune

While in Basecamp, with the device connected, are you going to the map pull-down menu and selecting the appropriate map instead of the default Global one?

Yeah mate.The Tuwakum Track Turnoff is 36.5 Klms from the Victoria Hwy down BullitaTimber Creek road, Northern Territory, Australia.
