For a number of years I have had a Garmin zumo 340 LM and it has just started to show me a message "can not calculate route" I have looked at various posts about the same problem. This has left me even more perplexed than when I started. Please forgive me for being somewhat puzzled I only have two degrees and a post graduate teaching qualification. Being a simple soul and not at all interested in sailing a balsawood dingy up mount Everest wearing my hemp sandals I need simple instructions. My Zumo is strapped to my motorcycle and is quite happy there.. However It has become depressed to the point that it will no longer plot a route to a pub twenty seven miles from my house or indeed anywhere else . I have the latest upgrade from your company and it is installed well. The hardware is in good condition and very well built( I have no issues here) BUT it has only one job., that is, to get me from one point to another and It fails. Please do not ask me to download "BASECAMP" or any other software that I have no use for. I just want to type in the post code and for the satnag to take me there. By the way my phone does the job in about two or three jabs at the screen and it only cost £125 not £400 . Please help me to resolve the problem. Please use simple language devoid of Jargon. Ps I also can use a sextant but would rather not.
