Regarding basecamp: New Dell computer running Windows 10 Home. How do I create a shortcut/redirect in the Garmin maps folder, to go to my "D" hard drive? I would like to have all my maps (including Garmins Global map) to be stored to D drive instead of my system drive C. After moving maps to the D drive, I tried to put a shortcut in the Garmin map folder on C drive but when I right click and select "New" the only option is to create a new folder. Anyway, just looking for a simple way run Basecamp but have my maps on D drive.

You need to create a virtual drive configured as a removable drive and copy the files there. See: http://www.javawa.nl/virtualdevice.html

If you mean maps installed by Express then use JaVaWa's GMTK program to move them as it does it all correctly

Thanks. Will this also move all the routes and Birdseye images I already have saved within Basecamp (which is on my C drive,) to my D drive? Its my understanding that Basecamp has to continue to reside on the system C drive. Just wanting all maps, brirdseye, routes etc to be stored on D drive while all being accessible from Basecamp (which is on C drive.)

You can create a BaseCamp database anywhere you want, see the Options menu. So with GMTK and the options menu yes, you can do what you want.
