Is it possible to transfer Topo 24k sd map to the internal storage on a Montana 680t?

I bought the microSD for an older gps and would like to put the maps on the internal drive to free up my sd slot for more storage.

I don't know whether those maps are locked in any way, either to the original device or card? If not it'll work.

Don't seem to be locked. Worked on the older device and this one as an sd. I can read the sd in basecamp, it just doesn't give an option to transfer those maps to the device. I am new to basecamp so probably my learning curve.

Just copy the map files from the card to the Garmin folder on the device.

However the maps may be locked to the card, if so the map won't work on the Montana

Thanks. I ended up copy and pasting the files from the sd map to the Garmin folder on the gps. It worked. Not sure why basecamp would not transfer them.
