Lost street view after latest upgrade.

Recently performed an update. Upon completion I found I am no longer able to view to the street level. Uninstalled Basecamp and re-installed. Did not solve the issue. This was a software prompted upgrade which occurred in the middle of plotting a trip. One moment I can see to street level, perform required upgrade, no longer can I get closer than 10 mile above view.

    Not sure what you mean by 'see to street level'? If you mean certain streets are missing check your detail setting. If that's set correctly is the correct map selected?

    Nothing has changed in the settings I had selected for the route creation. Map used, detail displayed, everything is as it was before the system prompted me that there was an update available. Once update was completed and the program launched again, my view had changed dramatically. I could no longer zoom down to a closer (street level) view. Matter of fact, I cannot get closer than the 10 mile zoom. Move to 7 mile and I lose all detail. I can still see my way points and route as clear as can be, but street name, road numbers and so on gone.

    Incidentally, map used is North America DEM
    Detail Level - Medium
    Zoom Level - 10 Miles, anything closer and I lose all detail.

    All maps have been re-installed as well as the Base Camp software.

    The NA DEM map is not a map as such, it's the Digital Elevation Model, so I wouldn't expect you to see streets at any level. Do you not have the NA CN map installed?

    Well that was curious. I forced a map install and discovered a missing map. City Navigator North America.

    It must have been removed or lost during the update earlier. Can't explain it. In any event I've got my route back. Interesting. Wonder what happened and why.

    I accidentally deleted my original Factory Default City Navigator Maps. How do you access the original Default City Navigator Maps from Garmin website without paying for the upgrade ? I have the Garmin Nuvi 265WT with 2009 City Navigator Maps installed for North America. Currently, I have nothing on D: drive except the latest software upgrades (version 7.80) and nothing on the Garmin E: drive. Thank You !
