Hi,
I live in Israel and I own a trusted Garmin Oregon 450.
I use it as a standalone w/o connecting it directly to Basecamp since the USB interface has malfunctioned, so I only connect the micro USB memory card to the PC and then insert it back in the device.
My Oregon device is configured for our local ‘Israeli Transverse Mercator’, with input parameters according to https://www.4x4.co.il/article/359:
USER UTM GRID
longitude = E035.12.725
scale = 1.0000000
false east = 0220251.0
false north = 0114750.0
USER DATUM
dx=-235.0
dy=-85.0
dz=264.0
da=-163.0
df=-0.54739085
I have setup Basecamp with the same parameters, only difference being that the Longitude origin is rounded up by the s/w to E35.1273
Now for some reason on every measured way-point I obtain with the device there’s around 008032 m difference when it's transferred to Basecamp, for example:
BASECAMP: 216968 3636215
OREGON 450: 208936 3636221
I’m not a math wiz and I really cannot figure why this is happening, since as far as I can see the defined parameters are the same (notwithstanding the rounding mentioned above).
Just to be on the safe side I also performed multiple tests with my smartphone’s GPS to make sure that the device displays a correct reading (give or take margin of error difference vis a vis the smartphone)
and so the device and the input configuration is in good order.

What am I missing here?
I’d appreciate any kind of assistance, if further info is required please let me know.
Thanks in advance!
