Problems with Waypoints

When I am building a new route in basecamp. I click and drag on a road but everytime i release and reclick and drag to the next step it drops a waypoint . When I have finished building the route there are many waypoints all over the route that I do not want or need. How do i build a new route without these waypoints OR how can I delete the waypoints yet keep the route active.

Not sure what you mean by a waypoint but BaseCamp will create a shaping point, and a waypoint if by chance there is a POI at that location, if you're wanting to change a route. You need those points to shape the route.

You don't say which device you have but if it's one that will accept shaping points you can convert any point to a shaping point so that you don't have any waypoints on the route.
